Eagles center's surprise nomination continues 2023 domination for Kelce family

The six-time Pro Bowler and five-time First-Team All-Pro posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, Tuesday night following the announcement of his nomination. Kelce also claimed that he wasn't even the "sexiest" man in his family, presumably hinting at his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The 2011 sixth-round draft pick added that the publicity surrounding the family "has gone to a completely different level," which couldn't be more accurate.

In many ways, 2023 has been dominated by the Kelce family.

The matriarch of the group, Donna "Mama" Kelce, became a sensation last winter as both of her sons squared off in Super Bowl LVII. Her stardom has continued throughout the year, starring in multiple commercials and hanging out with the likes of superstar singer-songwriter Taylor Swift at a recent Chiefs game.

Kansas City's pass-catcher Travis Kelce has long been one of the best offensive players in the sport and is making a case as the "GOAT" tight end, but his relationship with Swift has put him "on the map" with non-football fans this fall. The 34-year-old also hosted an episode of "Saturday Night Live" in March, where his parents and brother made cameos.

The elder sibling would have quite an argument as the more popular of the two Kelce NFL players if he were to win People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" honor, however.

The 36-year-old Jason is the second youngest of the five finalists, as only 27-year-old actor Timothee Chalamet is younger than Kelce. Singer-songwriter Usher (who will headline the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show) is 45, actor Pedro Pascal is 48, actor, comedian and singer Jamie Foxx is 55 and singer-songwriter and actor Lenny Kravitz is 59.
