Eagles fans get the Quinyon Mitchell practice update they desperately needed

The moment Philadelphia Eagles fans saw Quinyon Mitchell leave the Week 6 game against the New York Giants early with the hamstring injury, they knew another L was coming to them. Sure enough, 34-17 was the final score, and Eagles fans spiraled out of control with Mitchell injured, leaving a nightmare scenario.

There was now the possibility that the Eagles would be stuck with starting Kelee Ringo on one side and Adoree' Jackson on the other side. Ringo and Jackson have both struggled as CB2, leaving Eagles general manager Howie Roseman to take some criticism for not keeping Darius Slay or Isaiah Rodgers on the team.

Eagles fans can be lifted out of the spiraling mindset with some good news from the Eagles' first practice of Week 7 in preparation for the Minnesota Vikings game. Several Eagles reporters share that Mitchell, along with Jalen Carter and Landon Dickerson, were spotted warming up and suited up for practice. One note is that tight end Grant Calcaterra did not practice with the team.

Eagles one step closer to getting much-needed reinforcement back for Vikings

Mitchell is clearly the most important of the four, as he has been one of the best coverage corners in the NFL, except in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos. He's won NFC Defensive Player of the Week after five pass deflections in the 31-26 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Carter is another significant return for the Eagles after being a last-second scratch from the Giants game due to a new heel injury and a shoulder injury. While he hasn't been as elite as he has been in previous years, he's still Philly's best pass rusher and is much needed after New York had their way with the Eagles' defense.

Dickerson has been banged up all season and is clearly trying to fight through some injuries. A week off was good for him, and the hope is that he can get back to being the elite guard Eagles fans have been accustomed to seeing.

Calcaterra is one player to monitor as that oblique injury appears to be affecting him. He might not be able to go against the Vikings, which means Kylen Granson will step up in his place again as backup.

The sight of practice was amazing for fans, seeing several players back. As long as the rest of the week goes well, they should be in good shape to play better against the Vikings. Maybe.
