Eagles fans won't be thrilled about who is on Week 1 inactive list against Cowboys

While many Philadelphia Eagles fans won't be surprised to see who made the inactive list for Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, there are some names that will sting.

The main name Eagles fans already knew they wouldn't have for the game is quarterback Tanner McKee, who is out with a fractured thumb injury. Sam Howell will serve as the backup for Jalen Hurts in the game.

There are six other players who were included on the list:

Cameron Williams, OT
Kenyon Green, OL
Ogbo Okoronko, OLB
Azeez Ojulari, OLB
Ty Robinson, DT

Eagles' defensive line takes a hit with depth

This is a very telling sign of what's to come for the Eagles since they don't have two of their defensive linemen on the active roster after both Ojulari and Robinson were listed as backups on the unofficial depth chart.

Ojulari had an up-and-down training camp and preseason, but still made the roster. His being out could mean that rookie first-round pick linebacker Jihaad Campbell could be lining up off the edge. The Eagles only have three edge rushers, so Campbell could be taking more snaps there.

Another rookie, Robinson, won't be on the field for the game. That will mean the Eagles have five defensive tackles, as Byron Young and Gabe Hall beat out Robinson for that final spot.

Three offensive linemen won't be playing in the game, with rookies Kendall and Williams not being rushed onto the field. Green was a part of the initial roster cutdowns for the Eagles and has gone back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster.

While there are a lot of linemen not active for the game, the Eagles still have plenty of depth that they will be able to keep up and play against the Cowboys.
