The Philadelphia Eagles finally moved on from star wide receiver A.J. Brown, sending him to the New England Patriots.
Of course, they couldn't afford to lose another star pass-catcher, especially this early in the offseason.
That's why the fans sounded the alarms when rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon didn't participate in Tuesday's OTA session. He was there and in uniform, but that was it.
Fortunately for the Eagles, it looks like he's not dealing with a major ailment, according to insider Eliot Shorr-Parks of WIP.
"Makai Lemon is dealing with a soft-tissue injury, per league sources. Good news is it isn’t of any real concern and he will be good for camp. But he won’t practice again during OTAs," Shorr-Parks shared on X.

Lemon was wearing a sleeve on his right leg. The Eagles haven't shared any official update on his condition, but this will certainly be a story to keep a close eye on.
Expecting him to fill Brown's shoes will be a tall order. That said, the Eagles moved up in the first round of the draft to make sure he didn't slip past them.
Lemon drew comparisons to Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown at USC, and he could be a slot specialist in Sean Mannion's new-look offense.
However, there are also legitimate concerns about his size (5-foot-11, 192 pounds) and whether he'll be able to withstand the wear and tear of NFL football.
Given that, the Eagles are doing the right thing by erring on the side of caution with their prized rookie playmaker.
