The Philadelphia Eagles (8-2) are going to be without one of their key players when they take on the Los Angeles Rams (5-4) at SoFi Stadium.

After not practicing all week due to a hamstring injury, Eagles No. 2 wide receiver DeVonta Smith has been ruled out.

Smith is second on the team in receiving yards behind only A.J. Brown with 41 receptions for 516 yards and four touchdowns.

The only other player with an injury designation for Sunday's game is wide receiver Britain Covey (questionable), who must be activated off Injured Reserve in order to play.

Eagles Friday Week 12 Injury Report

Eagles Week 12 Injury Report Observations

  • The Eagles are said to be monitoring Jalen Hurts' health closely and it will be normal for him to kick off the week limited moving forward.
  • Byrce Huff had previously been playing with a cast on his hand before undergoing surgery on Thursday. The Eagles placed him on Injured Reserve on Friday.
  • Rookie Jalyx Hunt could take snaps in place of Huff as long as he is healthy.
  • DeVonta Smith has been dealing with that hamstring injury on and off this season. He played injured against the Cowboys and Washington. It looks like the Eagles have decided to keep him out this week.
  • The Eagles opened the 21-day practice window for wide receiver and star punt returner Britain Covey to return. With Huff now on IR, the Eagles have room to activate Covey for Sunday which could be perfect since Smith is out.
  • Nakobe Dean suffered that groin injury in Week 10's win over the Cowboys. He played against the Commanders and will play on Sunday.
  • The Eagles signed defensive tackle Siaki Ika to the practice squad and released wide receiver Kyle Phillips this week.
  • Good news is that cornerback Darius Slay is not on this week's injury report which is huge considering he will need to help the rookies lock down Rams' stars Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.
