As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers for Wild Card Weekend, one major question remains: Will starting quarterback Jalen Hurts be out of concussion protocol?
While head coach Nick Sirianni has failed to give a straight answer, the Eagles' latest roster move offers some reassurance.
The Birds announced Tuesday afternoon that they had waived quarterback Ian Book.

The Eagles initially signed Book a few days after Hurts was placed under concussion protocol following Week 16's win over the Washington Commanders. Book served as the team's active backup for their final two regular-season games but did not see any playing time.
Meanwhile, Hurts did not practice nor suit up for the last two weeks, though he did make an appearance at last Friday's walkthrough as a bystander. That was a clear sign he was progressing through protocol as Sirianni noted on Sunday.
The roster move not only suggests the Eagles no longer need Book as an emergency backup and that Hurts is making his return, but it also indicates Pickett is on the mend from his rib injury.
The Eagles return to practice Wednesday and the team's first injury report ahead of the wild card round will be released later that afternoon, which will offer more insight into the overall health of their quarterback room.
