For every team, the weather can have different effects on them. That might end up playing a critical role in the Philadelphia Eagles' Week 4 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
While appearing on 94 WIP on Thursday, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce was asked about the effects of playing in the heat. Kelce let the guys in on a secret about playing in hot weather.
"As a player I would always downplay it, but now that I am not a player I'll be brutally honest—playing in the heat sucks. I would much rather play in the dead of cold, snow, 20 degrees."

According to the Weather Channel, Tampa on Sunday will be a high of 91 degrees with 69% humidity. There is a 30% chance of rain on that day.
The Buccaneers have had considerable success against the Eagles when playing in Tampa. In the last five matchups at Raymond James Stadium, the Buccaneers have won four of those matchups. The previous four games in Tampa have been blowouts.
It's a critical showdown between two of the best teams in the NFC, with both being undefeated at 3-0. Neither team has dominated their opponents this year, as each has won all three of their games by a margin of one possession.
In tight matchups like that one, the smallest thing, like the weather, could magnify the momentum for the Buccaneers. They are used to he weather climate, whereas the Eagles are more accustomed to the cold. If the rain ends up coming, that could also influence the plays being called on the field.
This wouldn't be classified as a "must-win" game for either team, but whoever comes out on top will have a straight path to potentially setting themselves up with the top seed in the NFC.
