Despite major offensive struggles this season, Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has decided to shake things up on the offensive line.
According to ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter, Philadelphia is trading its starting center, Cam Jurgens and 2027 7th-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a 2027 5th-round pick and a 2028 2nd-round pick.
Jurgens, a Super Bowl Champion and two-time Pro Bowl selection, has spent his entire career thus far with the Eagles. He will now head to a Baltimore team that has lost star center Tyler Linderbaum in free agency and has lost three more centers to injuries during the season.
The Ravens lost Tyler Linderbaum in free agency to the Raiders, then lost their next three centers to injury: Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn, and Ethan Pocic.

The move for Philadelphia to move off Jurgens is even more surprising, given his contract situation. Jurgens is under contract through the 2029 season and his largest cap hit year will be $16.3 million in the final year of the contract.
It is extremely solid value for one of the game's top centers who will figure to play out the remainder of his contract with the Ravens.
Within a span of four days, Philadelphia has now lost Jurgens via trade, Lane Johnson to retirement and Saquon Barkley to injury. For an offense that will enter Week 5 averaging the fourth fewest yards per game, that is quite a lot to overcome.
It's hard to envision that the offense somehow gets better without three players that, at their best, are at the top of their positions and have been for an extended period of time.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni will have to pull off one of his best coaching jobs yet if Philadelphia hopes to get back to the playoffs for a sixth consecutive season.
