Eagles' Nakobe Dean gets epic tattoo

At 5-foot-11 and 231 pounds, Philadelphia’s Nakobe Dean may be undersized compared to most linebackers, but the same can’t be said for his new tattoo. When it comes to his ink, the former Bulldog obviously thinks bigger is better.

The tattoo is Dean’s first and takes up the entire right side of his back. It was done by Daniel Czar, a New Jersey based artist who needed two days to get everything in the design.

The piece features two items that symbolize Nakobe's Mississippi upbringing. First is a magnolia, the official state flower of Dean’s home state. Just above that is a road sign that reads "Tunica County” in honor of his hometown.

But what really stands out in the design has to be the giant blimp that sits across Dean’s right shoulder. It reads, "The World Is Yours," an obvious reference to the 1983 classic, Scarface starring Al Pacino.

While Dean may be new to the world of tattoos, Czar is no stranger to the NFL. He’s done work for Johnny Manziel in the past as well as former Eagles Corey Clement and Jalen Mills. In fact, Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell recommended Czar to Dean.

According to Czar, Dean’s new tattoo is just the beginning. The second-year linebacker hopes to eventually fill out the rest of his back with more artwork. But what will he do next?

Perhaps he'll honor his college days (and six of his Eagle teammates) with the University of Georgia logo. Maybe he’ll add Uga, the school’s official mascot.

Actually, if Philadelphia can get back to the Super Bowl and win it, the Vince Lombardi Trophy would look pretty good across Dean’s left shoulder. Just a thought.
