The Philadelphia Eagles featured all 10 of their 2025 draft selections during Saturday’s preseason loss to the Cleveland Browns.

As the 22-13 final score would indicate, the results were a mixed bag.

From linebacker Jihaad Campbell and safety Andrew Mukuba looking like Day 1 starters, to some rough reps for offensive lineman Myles Hinton and undrafted star Darius Cooper, Philly’s rookies left us with plenty to discuss entering the final week of the preseason.

Here’s a progress report for Philadelphia’s most prominent rookies coming off preseason game No. 2:

Jihaad Campbell, LB (Grade: B+)

Philly’s first-round steal is for real. Campbell showed off his speed and timing when he shot through the heart of Cleveland’s offensive line untouched and wrapped up rookie QB Dillon Gabriel. The Eagles clearly fooled the Browns on that play, but Campbell was easy to notice. He’d like a couple of reps back in run defense, but overall, he was hard not to notice in his 29 snaps. He can tackle and he can cover. He looks like an impact contributor right out of the chute.

Andrew Mukuba, S (Grade: A+)

Mukuba aced preseason Week 2. His pick-six off Gabriel in the first half was a thing of beauty. He looked like he was shot out of a cannon running through the open field. He allowed just one catch on three targets, per Pro Football Focus, and also recovered a fumble. We also saw a lot of Sydney Brown, Tristin McColumn and Andre’ Sam in this game, and Mukuba was clearly Philly’s best safety. He might have won the starting job on Saturday.

Ty Robinson, DT (C-)

There’s been plenty of preseason hype buzzing around Robinson, and we got an extended look at him Saturday with 39 total defensive snaps. Unfortunately, he didn’t do anything all that memorable with his 22 pass rush snaps. He probably should have had a sack on this play:

Mac McWilliams, CB (B-)

The Eagles are still waiting for someone to emerge and take the No. 2 outside cornerback job. McWilliams is a long shot, but we saw plenty of the rookie on Saturday. After spending the majority of training camp working in the slot, McWilliams got 30 snaps at cornerback against the Browns and allowed just one catch for 5 yards, per PFF. It hasn’t been a monster camp for the fifth-rounder, but he could be in the mix for a depth role on defense this season.

Smael Mondon Jr., LB (C+)

While Mondon flashed some strong tackling ability on Saturday, including one behind the line of scrimmage, he struggled a bit in coverage, charged by PFF for four receptions against for 46 yards. He gets bonus points for some solid reps on special teams, which is where he figures to contribute the most value in 2025.

Drew Kendall, OL (B)

Kendall got the start at center and had a solid game. He finished with a clean sheet on 26 pass blocking snaps, per PFF. The run game was another story, but the Eagles were brutal in that department all day against Cleveland. Kendall has had a good summer.

Kyle McCord, QB (C-)

The positives? McCord didn’t turn the football over and never took a sack in his 30 snaps. He also threw his first touchdown pass on a slant to Ainias Smith in the final two minutes of the first half. The bad? He averaged 2.9 yards per completion and Philly struggled to move the ball no matter who was under center. McCord was definitely better in preseason game No. 2 than he was in the opener.

Myles Hinton, OL (F)

Hinton was Philly’s worst graded run blocker, per PFF’s metrics. He also whiffed on this block that got QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson wrecked and led to a pick-six:

Cameron Williams, OL (C-)

Williams played 28 snaps and didn’t have any major blunders. He also didn’t make any signature plays to secure a roster spot entering a big final week of the preseason.

Antwaun Powell-Ryland, EDGE (C-)

It was a quiet 11 snaps for Powell-Ryland. He finished with no pressures or tackles in this one and is pretty clearly behind veteran Patrick Johnson on the depth chart.

Darius Cooper, WR (D+)

Saturday was disappointing for Philly’s surging undrafted rookie. He could still make the roster as the No. 6 wide receiver, following the Eagles’ trade for John Metchie III, but he’ll need to show more on special teams than he did against the Browns to avoid starting on the practice squad. He was Philly’s lowest-graded special teams player, per PFF, with a 29.4.
