Eagles WR DeVonta Smith 'not satisfied,' can 'be a whole lot better than I was'

The Philadelphia Eagles saw their season come to an end via Sunday's 31-15 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that and Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts was spotted wearing a walking boot on his left leg shortly after the defeat. 

As Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams noted, Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith set the franchise record for receiving yards by a rookie with 916 during the regular season. Smith spoke with reporters Monday and made it clear he feels he's just getting started. 

"There’s some stuff I left out there," Smith explained, according to Michael David Smith of PFT. "I’m still not satisfied. Still feel like I can be a whole lot better than I was."

Per ESPN stats, Smith led the Eagles in receiving yards and with 64 catches, 104 targets, and five receiving touchdowns. While few can doubt the first-year pro built solid chemistry with Hurts, some have wondered if the Eagles could look to upgrade at quarterback amid rumors they may pursue wantaway Houston Texans star signal-caller Deshaun Watson.
