The Philadelphia Eagles are set to begin their Super Bowl defense on Thursday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. But once the week is over, the Eagles could be bolstering their pass rush.
Philadelphia had the best defense in all of football during the 2024 campaign, allowing 278.4 yards per game. No other team allowed less than 300. But the Eagles have seen some major departures, such as defensive tackle Milton Williams, defensive end Josh Sweat and cornerback Darius Slay.
At this stage of free agency, the Eagles won't find players of their caliber. However, Philadelphia will at least get a better look at former New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Isaiah Foskey after their Week 1 matchup, via Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

With the Eagles playing on Thursday, the Chicago Bears will host Foskey first. There's a chance he leaves that meeting with a deal in place. But the fact Foskey has scheduled a meeting with the Eagles in advance at least shows that he is interested in meeting with Philadelphia.
The defensive lineman was a dominant force over his four years at Notre Dame. He made 132 total tackles, 32 for a loss and 26.5 sacks. Foskey broke onto the scene as a senior, registering a new career-high in tackles for a loss (14) and tying his career-best 11 sacks. He was named a Consensus All-American for his efforts.
The Saints liked what they saw and selected Foskey in the second-round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Unfortunately for both the defensive tackle and New Orleans, he failed to live up to his pre-draft hype. Over 27 total games, featuring no starts, Foskey made 25 tackles and a pass defense. He didn't make it onto the Saints' 2025 53-man roster.
But it wasn't long ago that Foskey was one of the better defensive linemen in the draft. He is only 24-years-old with plenty of gas left in the tank. If the Eagles like what they see, perhaps they give Foskey and opportunity to rebuild his value and prove his worth in Philadelphia.
