Bo Nix’s latest workout offered another encouraging sign in his recovery, and it even caught the attention of Broncos offensive coordinator Davis Webb ahead of training camp.
After undergoing two offseason procedures on the ankle he injured during Denver’s playoff run, Nix was limited through the Broncos’ offseason program.
“[target emoji] Broncos QB @BoNix10 hard at work. #BroncosCountry,” QB Country posted on Instagram on July 9.
One procedure repaired the broken bone while the other cleaned up the area. Keeping the quarterback from taking part fully in team activities.
Although the video doesn’t show Nix running in the Instagram post, he appeared comfortable moving through quarterback drills and displaying quick footwork, a positive sign with the training camp set to begin on July 31.
The post also drew a reaction from Broncos offensive coordinator Davis Webb, who gave his positive reaction in the form of a like on the post.
Webb was promoted from quarterback coach and will call plays for the first time in 2026, according to Heavy.
With training camp just around the corner, Nix appears to be trending in the right direction as he prepares for the 2026 season.
Bo Nix is just working his way back from injury, heading into training camp. He’ll also be adjusting to a new voice calling plays after Davis Webb was promoted to offensive coordinator this offseason.
NFL.com’s Bobby Kownack pointed to that change as one of the biggest storylines for the Broncos. While Webb has spent the last two seasons working alongside head coach Sean Payton, game days will be a different dynamic for Nix
“Webb has been learning under Payton since then, so nothing will be unrecognizable, but Nix still will need to get used to a new voice in his helmet,” Kownack wrote on NFL.com on July 9.
He also believed the exchange could have a notable impact if Denver’s offense takes another step forward.
“Any improvement for a 14th-ranked scoring offense on a team that already won 14 games last season would be massive in the AFC race.”
After leading the NFL in pass attempts (612) and finishing eighth in passing yards last season, Nix enters 2026 with high expectations.
As the Broncos begin a new chapter on offense, how quickly he and Webb settle into the partnership will be one of the team’s biggest storylines.
