Trade speculation surrounding Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson just won't go away.

During the final month of the 2025 regular season, Mike Preston of The Baltimore Sun reported that Jackson and the Ravens are "at a crossroads." He said the two-time MVP is open to the possibility of playing for the Miami Dolphins.

“The Ravens should look at possible trades, which could net them two or three first-round picks,” Preston wrote. “Jackson would love to play in Miami, where quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is no longer the starter, or possibly Las Vegas, where Brady, a partial owner of the Raiders, has shown fondness for him. Baltimore should also draft a young quarterback in the early rounds.”

Roughly a month later, an NFL executive predicted that Jackson gets traded to the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason.

"It just seems like there's been some consternation there with Lamar and the Ravens, and this would be the ultimate Mark Davis move," an NFL personnel evaluator told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "I'm not even convinced everybody with Vegas would be on board with it but it would instantly solve their quarterback problems."

The Raiders have the No. 1 pick to offer the Ravens, but we're not entirely sure they want to give up the rights to draft Fernando Mendoza.

Will the Ravens actually trade Lamar?

Earlier this month, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti expressed the importance of getting a contract extension done with Jackson. His cap hit for the 2026 season is currently set to be $74.5 million.

"The urgency of that matters to me because we've got free agents and I don't want to go into free agency with that hanging over our head," Bisciotti said. "And I made that clear to Lamar and I think he was very appreciative of my stance and hopefully willing to work with Eric [DeCosta, Ravens general manager] and not get this thing dragged out into April like the last time. It's very hard for him to build a roster when that thing is not settled."

It doesn't sound like Baltimore wants to move on from Jackson anytime soon. Can he force the front office's hand? Maybe, but there's zero indication that he wants out.
