One Dallas Cowboys legend has seen enough of the 2024 team. Dez Bryant didn’t hesitate to become vocal following the 30-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
Bryant fired off a six-worded message featuring an expletive directed toward owner and general manager Jerry Jones.
“Fire everybody Jerry…quit f****** around,” Bryant posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The legendary wide receiver for the franchise is never shy about speaking his mind. The three-time Pro Bowler witnessed his team fall back to below .500 at 3-4.
His Cowboys even teetered toward enduring another lopsided primetime defeat at the hands of the 49ers. San Francisco outscored Dallas 21-0 in the third quarter to go up 27-10. That was before the Cowboys nearly completed the miracle comeback.
Cowboys awakened but final effort not enough
Dallas sparked a 14-3 run during the final quarter. And they discovered a wide-open CeeDee Lamb twice.
The All-Pro wide receiver, wearing the famed No. 88 Bryant and other iconic Dallas WRs wore, torched the 49ers on both fourth-quarter touchdowns. He scored on a short seven-yard strike that saw Lamb cut through the middle of the San Francisco defense before being discovered alone in the end zone.
Then, he cut inside and blew past two 49ers defenders on his way to the end zone. He sliced the S.F. lead to 30-24 off his 20-yard red zone touchdown.
Quarterback Dak Prescott threw four straight incompletions on the final Dallas drive, ending any hope of a comeback. Lamb hauled in 13 catches for 146 yards and the two touchdowns. Prescott completed 25-of-38 throws for 243 yards. The QB, however, got picked off twice. The 49ers’ Isaac Guerendo sealed the game with one final 14-yard run on third-and-two to seal the game.
Dallas has lost half of its games by a margin of six points or less. The Cowboys have also endured two different two-game losing streaks this season. They recently lost back-to-back against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens. The former contest ended in the most one-sided fashion at 44-19.
This newest loss, though, now has Dallas three games behind the tied NFC East division leaders Washington and Philadelphia. The Cowboys are additionally closer to the last place New York Giants in the standings.
The franchise has now seen a franchise legend become visibly frustrated. And Bryant joins Troy Aikman in calling out the Cowboys. Dallas now gets a first-place team to prepare for next in the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 3.

Cowboys' Micah Parsons seen taking bizarre action in preseason finale
Micah Parsons showed up for the Dallas Cowboys' preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons in body only. The star pass-rusher showed no spirit and did not dress amid his hold-in for a contract extension. On Thursday, Parsons scrubbed the Cowboys from his social media feed. During Friday's game, he couldn't be bothered to be with his teammates on the sideline watching the whole game. Per a photo posted on X by The Athletic's Jon Machota, Parsons was seen lying down on a trainer's table during the contest. Parsons' actions come amid a turbulent week between his representation and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. In separate interviews, Jones told both Michael Irvin and ESPN's Stephen A. Smith that he did not plan to back down from his agreement with Parsons to work with agent David Mulugheta. During the pregame show on Friday, Jones boasted to 105.3 The Fan that defensive end is where the Cowboys have the most depth on the roster. "Frankly, our defensive ends may be the best depth, where we have the most talent of any position on the field," Jones said via Machota. "I'm excited about our depth and our numbers at pass rusher. ... I'm concerned because of having space on the roster to keep that many of our guys that have pass rushing ability." Following Friday night's game, the Cowboys' preseason is over. The situation between Jones and Parsons is not ideal for first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who is tasked with trimming the roster to 53 players by Tuesday. If Parsons is traded or chooses not to play in Week 1, Schottenheimer is going to have to decide to take away depth from what Jones sees as a weaker part of the team to boost a unit that is without their best player because he won't negotiate with Mulugheta.

The New York Yankees have been having a rough couple of months, losing their once-dominant lead of the AL East. Now, both Yankees manager Aaron Boone and general manager Brian Cashman are on the receiving end of some tough words by a former player, outfielder Clint Frazier. Boone has been criticized by a number of analysts (not to mention Yankees fans) for lineup and mid-game moves that range from head-scratching to downright bizarre, especially for a team that has been having a hard time securing wins. Cashman has repeatedly defended Boone, arguing that is knowledge of the players' capabilities is driving his decisions. To Frazier, Cashman's defense of Boone is self-serving because Cashman is the person who is responsible for Boone's tenure as manager. “When Cashman comes out and gives support to Boone, lowkey, I kind of feel like that’s self-preservation,” Frazier said on his podcast. “I know his resume is insane, but when he gives the confidence boost to Boone, I was saying ‘he’s got to, because Booney is the frontline of defense for him. I brought this guy in, and I have to support him, because he’s my guy.' Boone is Cashman’s shadow a little bit." Frazier, who played for the Pinstripes from 2017 to 2021, went on to discuss the Yankees' playoff chances, criticizing Boone for his lineup and mid-game decisions, which he claims will impact the team negatively during the post-season. “You need to make sure that you aren’t walking into it with bad decisions, because these are the decisions they’ll be doing in the playoffs,” he said. “They’re going to be way more under the microscope in the playoffs... You’ve got to make sure that you’re buttoned up and ready to go. If you start firing from the hip, it becomes a mockery of what every guy is trying to do.” While the Yankees are doing better now than they were at the time of Frazier's comments, surpassing the Boston Red Sox for second place in the AL East and securing the top spot in the AL Wild Card standings, they still aren't consistent. For New York to secure a trip to the World Series for the second year in a row, they're going to have to play better, which requires Boone to make better decisions. Reports: Red Sox Have 2 Options To Replace Walker Buehler
The Boston Red Sox ripped off the band-aid and made a difficult decision on Friday. There has been some chatter for a few weeks about the possibility of moving Walker Buehler out of the starting rotation. He actually has looked better lately than he did at the beginning of the season. But, his command was still shaky, including eight walks over his last 10 innings pitched, and Boston opted to move him out of the rotation. The Red Sox announced the decision on Friday, as shared by MassLive.com's Chris Cotillo. "Walker Buehler is going to the bullpen, Alex Cora announced," Cotillo said. "The starter for Monday is TBD. Cora said Buehler 'handled it like a professional.'" The Red Sox have two options to replace Walker Buehler Boston has two more games left in its series against the New York Yankees. Garrett Crochet is getting the ball on Saturday and will be followed by Dustin May on Sunday. On Monday, the Red Sox will begin a series against the Baltimore Orioles and this is when the club will have to make a decision. So, who could it be on the mound? Cotillo noted that Richard Fitts and Kyle Harrison are both options. "For Monday's outing, Richard Fitts and Kyle Harrison are the leading candidates to pitch," Cotillo said. "It'll likely depend on how the next few days go in NY. If Fitts pitches (in a multi-inning role), bet on Harrison to make that start. If not, Fitts is with the club and ready." Fitts is up with the team and it was initially reported that he was called up to help out in the bullpen. He hasn't been used out of the bullpen yet, so Monday certainly is a possibility. Harrison was the jewel of the Rafael Devers trade but hasn't made a start with Boston yet. Harrison has been down with the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox and has a 3.69 ERA in 10 starts. At some point, Harrison is going to be a big piece for this rotation. Could that start on Monday?
Report reveals how hard Warriors tried to trade for LeBron James
The Golden State Warriors have been linked to LeBron James on occasion over the last 18 months, but their interest in trying to trade for the Los Angeles Lakers star may be stronger than has been previously reported. Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reported this week that the Warriors would likely have some interest in James if the Lakers were ever to entertain a trade. To that end, the Warriors have called the Lakers on “multiple occasions” over the last 18 months to gauge the Lakers’ willingness to trade James. The report adds that there is a strong belief that James and Steph Curry very much enjoyed their time together as teammates during the 2024 Summer Olympics, which is one motivator for Golden State. The Lakers, of course, have not been willing to trade James, even though there were some hints of trouble between the two sides this summer. It is fair to question whether the Warriors would have the resources to pull off such a trade even if it were plausible. It is accurate that the Warriors are likely to be linked to James in any case where he is perceived to be available. Pairing him and Curry together would likely be a result of the Warriors trying to make one last run at a championship during the twilight of Curry’s career.
