Anthony Wint steps into the Octagon for the first time Saturday on the Fight Night card at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento — a debut arriving just 11 days after he blitzed through Matt Adams in 34 seconds.

The finish, a takedown followed by a barrage of ground strikes, was enough to land Wint a UFC deal on the spot, making his path from Contender Series to promotional debut one of the fastest seen in recent years.

The former New York Jets linebacker adds his name to a growing list of NFL-to-MMA converts that includes Greg Hardy, Matt Mitrione and Ovince Saint Preux, each with mixed results in the transition.

Standing across from him Saturday will be Terrance Chatman, another fighter making his first walk to the Octagon, with the two set to open the preliminary card.

Topping the main card is a middleweight clash between Anthony Hernandez and Gregory Rodrigues, alongside a heavyweight bout pitting Serghei Spivac against Vitor Petrino and a light heavyweight matchup between Reinier de Ridder and Roman Dolidze.
