The Falcons are in desperate need of some help at right tackle. Kaleb McGary has been ruled out for the season, and backup swing tackle Storm Norton had ankle surgery last week.
Atlanta did add depth yesterday by acquiring Michael Jerrell from the Seahawks in a trade, and they continued to add to the position on Wednesday, signing Carter Warren and Ryan Hayes to the practice squad.

Carter Warren was a fourth-round pick of the Jets in 2023. Over the last two seasons, he’s appeared in 14 games, six of which were starts. Ryan Hayes was a seventh-round pick by the Dolphins last year and appeared in just one game.
With Week 1 approaching, it appears to be a three-way battle for the starting spot between the incumbent Elijah Wilkinson, Michael Jerrell, and Carter Warren. Wilkinson might have the edge right now, given his familiarity with the offense. But at the end of the day, it’s going to come down to who can keep Michael Penix Jr. upright.
