Need some lineup suggestions? Then you’ve come to the right place! Fantasy managers will be preparing to set their lineups for the rest of Week 10 after the new week of fantasy football got off to a slow start with the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football. Both offenses were overall mid as Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty was the lone bright spot as he scored the only touchdown for Las Vegas. Brock Bowers, after returning back from a knee injury and a TE1 (43 fantasy points!) in Week 9, followed up that performance with a 31-yard game on just one catch (three targets).
The Denver Broncos weren’t much better as they scored just 10 points, with WR Troy Franklin scoring their only touchdown too. Not to mention Bo Nix (5.8 FP), Courtland Sutton (5.4 FP), and running backs J.K. Dobbins (9.4 FP) and RJ Harvey (3.8 FP) were absolutely floppers for fantasy managers. Hopefully, you were able to dodge this mess of a Week 10 start for fantasy football. If not, here are some options to consider for your lineups ahead of Week 10.
And FYI: The Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Tennessee Titans are all on byes this week. On top of that, the Indianapolis Colts vs. Atlanta Falcons game will begin at 9:30 am. So have your lineups set before that game if you have players from those teams on your rosters.
The Giants’ rookie quarterback has been one of the better waiver wire grabs this season and is shaping up to be a potential fantasy league winner. Dart has been putting on a show over the last few weeks, averaging nearly 17 fantasy points per game on the year. From Weeks 5-8, Dart ranks as the QB3 while averaging 23.4 fantasy points per game. Dart’s rushing upside is certainly helping his overall quarterback abilities as he’s totaled 197 rushing yards and four touchdowns. That’s on top of the 1,064 yards and nine touchdowns over that same span. Now he gets the Chicago Bears defense that’s allowing nearly 24 fantasy points per game, ranking third among fantasy defenses. Take the plunge and rock with Dart in your lineups.
J.J. McCarthy returned to the starting lineup for the Vikings and put out a solid performance after dealing with a high-ankle injury. McCarthy tossed the pill for 143 passing yards while adding two passing touchdowns with another touchdown on the ground. Finishing Week 9 with 18.9 fantasy points and a top-15 fantasy quarterback finish, McCarthy is in line to let his “Nine” persona retake the field against the Baltimore Ravens defense for Week 10. The Ravens have been one of the worst units defending the pass (and that’s coming from a Cowboys fan), as they’re giving up 250 passing yards per game on average. The Ravens are also allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
While the Commanders haven’t come out and said it publicly, it looks like Jayden Daniels’ season is coming to an end after suffering a dislocated elbow against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9. With Daniels out of commission, the Commanders will turn to Marcus Mariota to lead the passing attack. Mariota does have three games with more than 10 fantasy points when he came in for Daniels earlier this season, but has just two games with 15+ fantasy points. Some fantasy managers might be desperate enough to grab Mariota off the waiver wire, but this might not be the week to plug him into fantasy lineups. The Lions look like a good matchup as they are allowing 19.1 fantasy points per game, but the Lions’ offense could turn this game into a track meet. Mariota is trying to go band-for-band against Jared Gof,f and the Lions offense might not be in the cards. Skip this one and leave Mariota on the bench (or the waiver wire).
Jaylen Warren has been a solid surprise for fantasy managers this season. Ranking as a top 20 fantasy back heading into Week 10, Warren is averaging 14.1 fantasy points per game and leads the Steelers’ backfield. Warren had a top 10 fantasy performance against the Indianapolis Colts, finishing with 16.9 fantasy points and two touchdowns. Warren saw 16 carries but will have to do more than putting up 31 yards and a 1.9 yards per carry. Warren gets the Los Angeles Chargers this week, a defense allowing 4.9 yards per attempt to running backs. This could be a great opportunity for Warren to do more damage on the ground against a vulnerable Chargers defense. The Chargers are also allowing 22 fantasy points per game. That should be more than enough to make Jaylen Warren a start for fantasy lineups.
The Lions have fallen in love hard with Jahmyr Gibbs, often going away from David Montgomery. And honestly, fantasy managers can’t blame them. Montgomery, over his last three games, has averaged just three yards per carry and 85 yards rushing. Not bueno at all. Montgomery also averaged just 8.3 FPPG over that time. The Washington Commanders could be a get-right game for Montgomery to bounce back in a bigger way. The Commanders are allowing 124 yards per game on the ground and 4.4 y/a. That places the Commanders’ rush defense as the eighth-worst against the run. With Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin out for the contest, there could be more opportunities for Montgomery to salt the game away after the Lions’ offense runs the score up.
One of the biggest busts of the season, Alvin Kamara shouldn’t be considered for fantasy lineups until he shows signs of a pulse. Despite being in a “running back-friendly” offense under Kellen Moore, Kamara is hardly involved in the passing game, an area that has allowed the Saints running back to thrive even when the running game has been lacking. Kamara is averaging just 9.2 FPPG and has just one touchdown on the season. Getting the Carolina Panthers for a game doesn’t help Kamara’s situation either. The Panthers are a midrange fantasy defense against the run in both the NFL and fantasy. The question is, should fantasy managers run the risk of putting Kamara in their lineups for another potential stinker? Only the desperate are going to try it. Kamara just doesn’t inspire confidence to play even in a better matchup.
Drake London went on a touchdown spree in Week 9 when he faced off against the New England Patriots. London finished as the WR1 with nearly 39 fantasy points. Now, he’ll face off against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. The Colts are allowing 38 fantasy points per game heading into the matchup. They did, however, trade for former Jets CB Sauce Gardner so he could be shadowing London in the game. With the kind of volume London is getting from quarterback Michael Penix, fantasy managers should still start London with confidence.
Addison has been having a solid season despite the changes at QB. Averaging nearly 15 fantasy points per game, Addison has been able to provide fantasy managers with a stable floor amongst the position. While he did finish Week 9 with just 8.4 fantasy points, Week 10 provides him with the chance to bounce back against a weak Baltimore Ravens secondary. The Ravens are giving up 160 yards per game to wide receivers heading into Week 10. The Ravens are also giving up 39 FPPG (3rd-most) on the season and surrendered 29.3 fantasy points against the Miami Dolphins last week.
It’s been unfortunate to see Jameson Williams’ lack of involvement in the Lions’ offense this season, despite him being paid on a new contract this offseason. The Lions offense currently ranks third in points scored at 29.9 points per game. Williams has just 36 targets on the season and just 355 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Williams ranks as the WR42 heading into Week 10, averaging just 9.3 FPPG. The Commanders do present a plus matchup as they are allowing the second-most receiving yards to the position at 171 per game. But with Williams’ lack of involvement in the offense plus reports of rookie WR Isaac Teslaa being more involved going forward, Williams is the odd man out for another week.
Juwan Johnson found the end zone in Week 9 with rookie QB Tyler Shough at the helm. Now, with the Saints trading away WR Rasheed Shahid to the Seattle Seahawks, there could be more opportunities for Johnson to be involved in the offense going forward. Johnson is averaging 6.2 targets per game with a near 18% target share going into the new week. Shough will need more reliable pass catchers with one of his biggest deep threats gone. Against the Panthers, the tight end position has been averaging 14.6 FPPG.
Jaguars starting TE Brenton Strange remains out of the Jaguars’ starting lineup due to injury, allowing Hunter Long to get starter reps in the meantime. While Brian Thomas Jr is likely to miss Week 10 with an ankle injury, the Jaguars still have Parker Washington, Dyami Brown, and now former Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers as their starting receivers. Long was already not seeing a consistent line of work as is, totaling just 17 targets on the season and two targets per game. The Texans are allowing the fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season as well. Long needs to be on the extremely short list of desperation plays this week for the tight end spot. Leave him on waivers and away from your fantasy teams.
