Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Top Targets After Week 1

George Holani is not going to be the new flashy RB1 to spend all of your FAAB on immediately, but he could be a serviceable pickup for a few weeks. He has a clear role in the Seattle Seahawks offense after Wednesday’s victory over the New England Patriots. The RB played 43.8% of the snaps (90.9% of third down snaps). The production wasn’t anything spectacular, but he clearly has a role until Zach Charbonnet returns from IR.

Kaelon Black

There is no reason that Kaelon Black should be un-rostered in fantasy football leagues following week one. His upside as the Christian McCaffrey handcuff should’ve been enough to get some eyes on him in the fantasy world, but now it appears he has a legit role in San Francisco’s offense. He had 14 carries for 70 yards in their blowout victory over the Los Angeles Rams. He should be one of the more popular names on waivers this week.

Caleb Douglas

The Miami Dolphins offense was such an unknown, but week one gave us some great insight into what their passing game may look like. The WR of choice for Malik Willis was easily Caleb Douglas. He ended up with five receptions for 94 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kalif Raymond

Kalif Raymond was a standout performer for the Chicago Bears in their explosive victory over the Carolina Panthers. The wide receiver had eight catches on nine targets, resulting in 84 receiving yards. Chicago’s offense seems to be primed to have multiple players have relevance in fantasy football, so Raymond could be a solid add in deeper leagues.

Devaughn Vele

Devaughn Vele is absolutely someone who has fantasy value for the next few weeks. It may go away once Jordyn Tyson enters into the mix, but Vele has legit PPR potential for the New Orleans Saints. He had seven receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown on Sunday.

Dontayvion Wicks

Dontayvion Wicks has quickly developed some really nice chemistry with QB Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia. He had a great camp that was recognized with appropriate buzz as it looked like he had comfortably set himself up to be WR2. He made some huge plays on Sunday, including a touchdown reception and a 64-yard bomb.

Antonio Williams

Antonio Williams was a huge bright spot for the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The rookie receiver was given a pretty sizeable role that resulted in four reception (four targets), 64 yards, and a big touchdown in the fourth quarter. Williams should see his role continue to grow as the season goes on; he’s a great player to pick up now and stash on your fantasy bench for a few weeks.
