Fantasy Update: Miami Dolphins v New England Patriots

Fantasy rosters can be hit or miss and with a wet weather game in Miami, the passing numbers could be in flex. The safest way to approach Dolphins-Patriots fantasy decisions is to separate established opportunity from last week’s highlights. New England quarterback Drake Maye and tight end Hunter Henry are the strongest starting considerations in this matchup, while Miami running back Ollie Gordon II offers a workload-based case worth watching, but not as a guaranteed repeat performance.

Start consideration

Drake Maye. Maye threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns against Chicago, according to SportsGambler’s game preview. He also scored on the ground. That combination gives him more than one route to fantasy production, although turnovers and game flow remain risks. Miami should not be assumed to concede the same output simply because the previous opponent did.

Hunter Henry. Henry had seven receptions for 71 yards against the Bears, the same preview reports. Neil Parker’s Covers analysis also highlights Henry’s recent receiving consistency. With A.J. Brown ruled out in the official injury report, Henry is an appealing option for managers seeking a tight end involved in the passing game. Additional targets are possible, not assured.

RB2/Flex Consideration

Ollie Gordon II. Gordon rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on 25 attempts in Miami’s win over the Jets. That workload is the reason to consider him, especially in leagues rewarding rushing volume. The caution is that New England may produce a different game script. If Miami trails, last week’s carry total is not a promise.

Superflex Consideration

Malik Willis. Willis supplied two passing touchdowns and a rushing score against New York, according to SportsGambler. His mobility makes him more useful in deeper formats than a passing-only comparison suggests. In a standard one-quarterback league, however, that single successful outing is not enough reason to bench an established starter with a stronger weekly floor.

Deeper-League Consideration

Greg Dulcich. Miami’s tight end caught five passes for 86 yards against the Jets. He finished Friday as a full practice participant and has no game designation on the official injury report. That makes him worth considering as a streaming option, but his recent result should not be presented as an established weekly target guarantee.

Bench or Replace

A.J. Brown and TreVeyon Henderson. Both are officially out. Do not wait for a speculative warmup report to make those moves. For Caleb Douglas, whose two catches against the Jets both became touchdowns, the recommendation is more cautious: a deep-league upside option rather than an automatic start based on touchdown efficiency.
