Final Colts 2025 7 round NFL mock draft: Team starts with a bold move to form a unique draft class that fills multiple needs
Troy Taormina-Imagn Images

We finally made it, Draft Day has arrived.

All the speculation and rumors will come to an end, as we will soon know who the Indianapolis Colts will select and add to their roster in the 2025 NFL Draft. After a busy offseason, I feel solid about who in this class best fits the Colts and what they value from the start in round one all the way to the end of round seven. So, without further ado, here is my final Colts 2025 7 round predictive mock draft.

Colts 7 Round Mock Draft

TRADE: Colts send picks 14, 80 (third round), and a 2026 fourth to the Panthers for picks 8 and 140 (fifth round)

1.8: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

We get this mock started with a bang, as I have the Colts trading up to pick eight with the Carolina Panthers to select Penn State Tyler Warren. I've gone back and forth on whether I think the Colts would do this, but I know the team is interested in making a small move up if the opportunity shows itself. And if they pull it off, I would assume it would be for one of top TEs in this class, and my personal belief is that Warren is the top TE on the team's board.

TRADE: Colts send pick 45 to the Broncos for picks 51 and 122 (fourth round)

2. 51: Bradyn Swinson, Edge, LSU

The Colts only have one edge rusher on their roster beyond the 2025 season (Laiatu Latu). This will obviously change before the 2026 season, and I have them start now by adding a talented edge rusher like Bradyn Swinson. Swinson has a ton of potential as a pass rusher and could be a solid rotational piece during his rookie season. Swinson and Latu would give the Colts two high-upside players with an extensive belt of pass rush moves at their disposal. If Swinson had more than just one year of production as a starter, we would probably be talking about him as a potential first-round pick

4. 117: Smael Mondon Jr., LB, Georgia

Smael Mondon Jr. is one of my favorite players in this draft class. He ended up graded as a top 50 player on my big board. Due to lingering injuries, he wasn't able to show teams what he can truly do this past season. But he had plenty of flashes that show his comfort level dropping back in coverage as well as solid play recognition skills. I think his skill set is precisely what the Colts are looking for at LB, and if he's there in the fourth round, he would be seriously considered the pick.

4. 122: Jackson Slater, G, Sacramento State

One of the biggest holes on the Colts' roster heading into the 2025 season is right guard. They currently don't have a seamless fit on their roster to fill the need. And typically, you wouldn't want to wait to fill a starting spot on the offensive line till day three. But how the board fell, the Colts waited till the fourth, but they land a talented player that I think is being severely underrated. Sacramento State's Jackson Slater showed at the Senior Bowl his dominance at the FBS level wasn't a fluke by domianting multiple players who are going to hear their names called in the first two rounds. Slater would be able to compete with Matthew Goncalves day one for the team's starting RG job. And if you ask me who would win the battle right now, I think Slater would have the edge.

5.140: Kyle Monangai, RB, Rutgers

The Colts have to leave this draft with one of the multiple talented RBs in this class. They need to find a viable backup to Jonathan Taylor; preferably, you want that player to be a strong pass protector due to Taylor struggling in that regard. Rutgers' Kyle Monangai is a powerful runner who brings the fight to defenders on every carry. And he brings that same intensity when he is asked to block for his QB. I think he would be a great fit for what the Colts are looking for at RB in this class.

5. 151: Myles Hinton, OT, Michgian

Michigan's Myles Hinton was one of the Colts' Top 30 draft visits this cycle. He also has a special connection to the franchise, with his father, Chris Hinton, being a Colts Ring of Honor member. Though this would be a cool story, Myles Hinton is also a solid player who fits what the Colts typically covet in day-three tackle picks. He moves well at this size, and I think he would be able to compete to be the team's swing tackle with upside to develop into a starter down the road.

6. 189: Cam Miller, QB, North Dakota State

The Colts are bound to add one more QB to their roster ahead of training camp to compete with Jason Bean to be the emergency QB three. I personally think they will wait till the sixth or seventh round to address this need, and one of the top options I think they will consider is Cam Miller out of North Dakota State. He has solid mobility, which would pair well with the other QBs already in the Colts' room. He doesn't have elite arm strength, but he was elite at taking care of the ball at North Dakota State and has one of the quickest releases in the class.

7. 232: Zeek Biggers, DT, Georgia Tech

Last but not least, the Colts add Georgia Tech DT Zeek Biggers. On top of having an elite name for a DT, Biggers lives up to the name by being a massive human at 6-6 and 321 lbs and had the largest wingspan of any player at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. And he showed he's a superb athlete even at his size. The Colts have needed to find a reliable backup to Grover Stewart. Bigger is a late day three option in this class that I think would have a decent shot at making the roster, and at only 21 years old, he still has a lot of room to develop and could become the exact player the Colts have been looking for at the position.
