GLENDALE – Arizona Cardinals top draft picks rocking their team’s threads for the first time. The future of the franchise in running back Jeremiyah Love and Carson Beck took part in the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, where they put on the red and white uniform for the first time. The event had the pair do autographs signings, trading card photoshoots and many more opportunities to grow their career.
But more importantly for fans, they see Arizona’s greatest hope in its home jersey for the first time.

The 42 rookie photo was mostly offensive skill players and are brought in to be educated on the business side of the NFL. The Saturday event will be nice, short break for the Cardinals rookies before OTAs start on Monday. The pair of offensive players will face an NFL defense for the first time during that span and will be thrown into the deep end to see if they’re ready to be a pro.
Despite similar time spans, the pressure on Love is immense, the 21-year-old is already the seventh-highest paid running back in the league. The All-American looks to be well worth the money, but the franchise won’t know that until he’s facing against other pro players.
For Beck, he comes in as a third-round pick, with plenty of doubters. His six-year collegiate career has fans and expert writing him off to not being an NFL-level quarterback. Beck battles that and being third on the team’s depth chart, behind veteran Jacoby Brissett and Garner Minshew.
Each of them have their internal hurdles to get over, which starts on Monday at OTAs. Saturday was a fun preview for fans to see Love and Beck in uniform. However, Monday will the true beginning of their journey in Arizona.
