The NFL is kicking off another venture.
Aristocrat Leisure’s free-to-play social casino business, Product Madness, launched NFL Super Bowl Slots globally. This game is the first-ever NFL-licensed social casino mobile game, targeting fans aged 18 and older.
“With NFL Super Bowl Slots, we set out to do more than just build a game – we wanted to create a new way for fans to experience the sport they love,” said Matt Labbat, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Madness. “Every detail was crafted to channel team pride and authenticity into one free-to-play mobile game experience.”
This isn’t Aristocrat Gaming’s first NFL venture. The company has already introduced NFL-themed slot machines in land-based casinos. The combination has been growing in popularity for months.
This new mobile game expands on that relationship, bringing the NFL experience directly to fans’ handheld devices. It piggy-backs off of the growth of the social casino industry.
NFL Super Bowl Slots is a groundbreaking addition to mobile gaming.
Developed in collaboration with the National Football League (NFL) and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), the game invites players to enjoy casino-style fun while celebrating their favorite NFL teams. Drawing fans in with sights and sounds reminiscent of a real NFL game day, the app offers various slot games with interactive features like “Quarterback Rush” seasons and “Daily Drills.”
Although the game results are random, it tries to capture the excitement and pride of gameday. Players start as a “Prospect” and can earn badges to unlock new content, working their way up to “Hall of Famer.”
“Every football fan knows the thrill of watching their favorite NFL Superstar win on the field,” said NFL Players Inc. (NFLPI) President, Matt Curtain. “Through this collaboration with Aristocrat and Product Madness we have a unique opportunity to bring that feeling to life in the social casino space.”
To promote the game, Product Madness has teamed up with Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Micah Parsons as a brand ambassador.
Parsons is a defensive end for “America’s Team.” The Cowboys drafted Parsons with the 12th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021. Parsons has been a two-time First-Team All-Pro, a Second-Team All-Pro, and a Pro Bowler in all four of his NFL seasons.
He is entering his fifth season in the NFL, but played college football at Penn State, where he was a Consensus All-American and Big Ten Linebacker of the Year in 2019.
The game is available on both Android and iOS platforms, and allows players to customize their gaming experience.
By selecting any of the NFL’s 32 teams, users can unlock exclusive content that showcases each franchise’s unique identity. The game incorporates real NFL footage, thanks to partnerships with the NFLPA and NFL Films, providing authenticity through iconic plays and moments fans cherish.
“NFL Super Bowl Slots represents a fresh take on gaming at the league that will reach new fans who can engage with their favorite teams through exciting and interactive gameplay,” said Ed Kiang, vice president of video gaming at the NFL.
Fans and social casino players around the world will also see seasonal updates and surprise appearances from Aristocrat’s popular themes like Buffalo, Lightning Link, and Dragon Link.
