The Denver Broncos have been looking for a new wide receiver, but they also let one go in free agency.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN , the New York Giants are signing former Broncos wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey to a one-year deal. Humphrey joins an expansive receiver room with Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, and Wandale Robinson.

Humphrey will play for the Giants, his fourth team in his NFL career, and compete for a role in their offense. He previously spent three years with the New Orleans Saints and a year with the New England Patriots before joining the Broncos in 2023.

With the Broncos, Humphrey consistently bounced between the practice squad and the active roster. But, in 2024, Humphrey finally worked out a role on the offense for the Broncos.

In 2024, Humphrey had 31 receptions on 45 targets for 293 yards and one touchdown. While his 2023 season didn't feature nearly as heavy involvement, Humphrey had three touchdowns and 162 yards on 13 receptions.

His time in Denver was the best stretch of his career. Across his career, Humphrey has 770 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 62 receptions. Denver brought the best play out of Humphrey in 2024, and he now lands in New York with the Giants.

Humphrey played 546 snaps, roughly 50% of the Broncos offensive snaps. Denver will need to find a replacement for his role. Whether it's in-house, or the offseason, Humphrey's role will need to be filled for 2025.

Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims have solidified roles, leaving the third receiver spot open. Devaughn Vele, Troy Franklin, and Trent Sherfield will compete for Humphrey's role on the Broncos offense barring an addition in the offseason.
