Former Chargers Star Joey Bosa Makes Free Agency Decision

Less than a week after being released by the Los Angeles Chargers, five-time Pro Bowl defensive end Joey Bosa signed with a new team.

Bosa has been with the Chargers since 2016, racking up over 343 tackles and 72 sacks. He was simply a cap casualty for Los Angeles. After all, his release saved the franchise $25.36 million in cap space. When he initially hit the open market, the initial belief was that he'd join forces with his brother Nick on the San Francisco 49ers

"Meanwhile, I've heard Joey Bosa and 49ers are having good conversations and this feels like it's headed toward a deal," 49ers reporter Tim Kawakami said. "Nothing is done, but the Bosa brothers want to be together and probably will get there this year. Which likely means this will be a moderate deal + incentives."

Clearly, the Bosa brothers weren't meant to be teammates in the Bay Area.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Buffalo Bills have signed Bosa to a one-year, $12.6 million deal.

The Bills had a need at pass rusher after cutting Von Miller. In theory, Bosa should be a solid replacement.

The only real concern for Bosa is his health. He has appeared in 28 games over the last three seasons.

According to reports, the Bills beat out the 49ers in the Bosa sweepstakes. The Miami Dolphins were also in play for his services.
