Former Cleveland Browns kicker cut again

It appears that the Cleveland Browns made the right decision in August.

Cade York, whom the Browns cut on Aug. 29, was cut again this week by the NFC East foe New York Giants, according to the Associated Press.

York struggled with the Browns all preseason. He was originally drafted by Cleveland to be the team's answer to the kicker question. His career in Cleveland, however, never materialized.

The Browns used a fourth-round pick to draft York. It proved to be a mistake.

York had a knack for missing field goals in critical situations. He was never able to shake the monkey off his back.

After the Browns cut him, he was signed by the Tennessee Titans practice squad. He eventually netted a contract to be on the team roster for the Giants, but it didn't change much for York.

The Browns traded for 32-year-old place kicker Dustin Hopkins before the season. Hopkins has made back-to-back game-winning kicks for the Browns and has broken team and NFL records.

Cleveland takes on the Denver Broncos on Sunday at 4 p.m.
