Don Majkowski, the former Green Bay Packers quarterback known as the “Majik Man,” was cited for disorderly conduct following a disturbance at an Eau Claire bar on August 29, 2025.
According to police records, officers were called to Brother’s Bar on Water Street shortly after 11 p.m. for a report of an “undesirable” individual. Upon arrival, a bartender informed police that Majkowski, 61, and another man had been pushing each other near the bar.
When a bar employee intervened to separate the two men, Majkowski allegedly grabbed the employee by the throat. Police reports noted that the action left a visible red mark on the employee’s neck.
Officers described Majkowski as being “extremely intoxicated” at the scene. The report states he was unable to unlock his phone to call for an Uber, leading officers to drive him back to his hotel. During the ride, Majkowski told police he believed “he was jumped because boyfriends of the girls at the bar were jealous of him because he was a prior NFL player.”
Majkowski was issued a citation for disorderly conduct, which carries a fine of $213.10. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 30.
Majkowski played six of his ten NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 1987 to 1992. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 1989, a season in which he led the NFL with 4,318 passing yards. His electrifying style of play made him a fan favorite at Lambeau Field long before the arrival of Brett Favre. After his time in Green Bay, he had brief stints with the Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions before retiring.
