After his time with the Vikings ended, he enjoyed stints with the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions, Titans, and Seahawks.

He finished his NFL career with 3,230 carries for 14,918 yards and 120 touchdowns. Before he got to the NFL, he spent his collegiate career at Oklahoma from 2004-06 and put up video game numbers.

He finished the 2004 season with 339 carries for 1,925 yards and 15 touchdowns and also rushed for over 1,000 yards in the following two seasons. He finished his collegiate career with 748 carries for 4,041 yards and 41 touchdowns.

Peterson may change his mind on coaching at some point but he's more than content relaxing at home and being a dad.
