The Kansas City Chiefs are now facing uncertainties following their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

Perhaps on top of the list is the possible retirement of Travis Kelce. It was a challenging campaign for the 35-year-old tight end, who had a lethargic start before regaining his rhythm.

He wasn't much of a factor against the Eagles on Sunday, tallying only four receptions for 39 yards, as he saw his chance to win a fourth ring slip away.

Kelce admitted on the "New Heights" podcast that he's contemplating retirement, noting the physical toll he's endured over the years.

For former NFL running back LeSean McCoy, Kelce should take his time thinking about it, noting that the Kansas City star has a "bright, bright future post-career."

"He's a leader for this team," said McCoy on "The Facility" on FS1. "A lot of great players, when they come to this point in their career where they aren't as great as they used to be, (they know) they're getting older, right?

"Father Time hits everybody."

McCoy, who won a championship with the Chiefs alongside Kelce, said the front office won't cut his former teammate because he means so much to the squad and the community. McCoy also couldn't help but crack a subtle joke about Kelce's girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift.

"The Chiefs won't be the same without Travis Kelce," said the six-time Pro Bowler. "They won't be the same without Taylor Swift either."

The quip elicited laughter from his co-hosts. But McCoy quickly turned serious and acknowledged Kelce's significance.

"He might not be the same old Kelce, but he's still good enough and maybe he could change his game up," said McCoy.

"But let's be honest, as long as he wants to wait and take his time (to decide), he deserves it."
