Former Tennessee Vols cornerback Kamal Hadden was one of only three UT football players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
(Hadden was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the sixth round of the draft. Quarterback Joe Milton was selected in the sixth round by the New England Patriots and running back Jaylen Wright was selected in the fourth round by the Miami Dolphins.)
Unfortunately for Hadden, he didn't make the Chiefs' initial 53-man roster. The former Vol was among the players that were waived earlier this week on the final day of roster cuts.
The Michigan native took to Twitter/X.com on Wednesday to react to not making the Chiefs' roster.
"Get up dust ya self off and keep fightin," wrote Hadden.

Hadden is no stranger to adversity, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him making an impact in the NFL at some point.
The former Tennessee cornerback started his college career at Independence Community College in 2019. Hadden didn't play anywhere in 2020 after Independence's season was canceled due to the COVID-19.
In 2021, Hadden transferred to Tennessee and found some more adversity. Near the end of the 2022 season, after a rough game against South Carolina, Hadden started hearing some boos from Vols fans.
Those boos, however, eventually turned to cheers as Hadden proved to be Tennessee's best cornerback before suffering a season-ending injury in 2023.

Hadden has beat the odds before. I wouldn't bet against him beating the odds again.
