The Arizona Cardinals had a hole in their secondary after they released one-time Pro Bowl cornerback Malcolm Butler from the reserve/retired list last month. They're filling that gap with a former first-round draft selection.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports the Cardinals are signing former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Jeff Gladney:
Breaking: CB Jeff Gladney is signing with the #Cardinals, per sources. Gladney, 25, is a former first-round pick of the #Vikings. I’m told the Cards really like his ability to play both inside and out. https://t.co/fNQdgWcvUi

After a successful dinner with Arizona last night, Jeff Gladney toured the #Cardinals’ facility this morning and the two locked in a deal. DC Vance Joseph adds a very talented, very young corner to his defense.

Fellow insider Josina Anderson of CBS Sports and USA Today adds Gladney agreed to a two-year deal with the Cardinals.
Gladney entered the NFL when the Vikings made him the 31st-overall pick of the 2020 draft. The 25-year-old made 15 starts and appeared in 16 games as a rookie and tallied 81 total tackles, a forced fumble, and three pass breakups, but Minnesota released him in August 2021 after he was indicted on a felony domestic violence charge regarding an alleged incident involving a former girlfriend said to have occurred the previous April.
Gladney didn't play this past season, but a jury unanimously found him not guilty last Thursday. Schultz tweeted that Gladney should be "immediately eligible" to take the field with the Cardinals and resume his career.
