Gable Steveson, the 25-year-old Olympic gold medalist, revealed during a New Year’s appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience that he is targeting the UFC White House card on June 14, 2026, for his promotional debut.
Steveson’s plans involves taking one or two more developmental bouts to sharpen his skills before stepping onto the South Lawn. Gable has been on an impressive run of form, racking up three consecutive first-round knockouts. His most recent win was a 15-second “Dirty Boxing” destruction of Billy Swanson. These performances have caught the attention of UFC brass, including matchmaker Mick Maynard, while Joe Rogan recently revealed he texted Dana White directly to warn him that “everyone is f***ed” once Steveson officially joins the roster.
Steveson expressed his desire to share the White House card with his mentor and training partner, Jon Jones. While Jones has publicly tipped Steveson as a future heavyweight champion, UFC CEO Dana White has remained skeptical about “Bones” headlining the historic D.C. event, citing the former champion’s recent retirement talks and unpredictability as a “billion-to-one” hurdle. And yet, Gable remains hopeful.
“I would really like to debut at the White House. I would like to do one or two more fights before then, and then if I can sign, do a big release, ‘Hey, he’s signed, good job,’ and then debut at the White House. That’s my perfect world,” Gable said
“The heavyweight division is so devoid of talent. Gable Steveson is the f—— guy, that’s the guy. He’s not even in the UFC yet. Olympic gold medalist, f—— freak athlete, 250 pounds, moves like a cat, that’s the guy. I sent a text message to Dana White, I sent him a video of Gable Steveson’s last fight, I said, ‘Everyone’s f—–, everyone’s f—– when this guy comes out. He KO’d this guy with a left hand, and then took him down as he was knocked out. It’s so f—— crazy the speed this guy has… Dude, everyone’s f—–. That kind of speed is nuts for a heavyweight,” Rogan stated
