Georgia Bulldogs football legend Nick Chubb has a new NFL home after seven great seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Chubb has inked a one-year deal with the Houston Texans.
"New #Texans RB Nick Chubb has now passed his physical and signed with Houston, sources say. The former #Browns Pro Bowler agreed to terms over the weekend and is getting a 1-year, $2.5M deal that can be worth up to $5M. Deal done by Todd France of @AthletesFirst," Rapoport wrote on X/Twitter.

Chubb was initially a second-round pick out of Georgia by the Browns in the 2018 NFL Draft. He immediately made an impact as a rookie, rushing for 996 yards and 10 total touchdowns.
Chubb made an even bigger leap in Year 2, rushing for 1,494 yards and earning his first Pro Bowl nod. Over the next three years, Chubb added three more Pro Bowl nods and rushed for over 1,000 yards while scoring eight or more total touchdowns each year.
From there, Chubb was hit with the injury bug, which started his downfall. Chubb played a combined 10 games during the 2023 and 2024 seasons due to a knee injury and a broken foot that sent him to injured reserve.
In 7 seasons with the Browns, Chubb rushed for a combined 6,843 yards, averaging 5.1 yards per carry with 51 touchdowns. He also hauled in 1,042 receiving yards.
Before entering the league, Chubb rushed for a combined 4,769 yards and 44 touchdowns during his four-year career at Georgia.
He will now get a fresh start in Houston with Texans.
