Two days after the Cincinnati Bengals released linebacker Germaine Pratt, another AFC club has agreed to sign him.

Per multiple reports, the Las Vegas Raiders are signing Pratt to a one-year deal.

Pratt's deal includes a base value of $4.25 million and he can earn $500,000 through playtime incentives.

Prior to being released by Cincinnati, Pratt was scheduled to make $5.25 million in base salary this season on the last year of his contract and could've earned another $600,000 through playtime incentives. His new deal with Las Vegas is essentially a $1.1 million decrease.

It's a good deal for Pratt after being released in the heart of the offseason, and he's not the first Bengal-turned-Raider this year.

Germaine Pratt becomes second released Bengal to join Raiders

Prior to free agency beginning in March, Cincinnati released right guard Alex Cappa with one year remaining on his deal. Two days passed and Las Vegas signed Cappa to a two-year deal. Cappa was a street free agent, so he was able to sign anywhere immediately without having to wait until the new league year began the next week.

The Raiders followed the exact same timeline with Pratt three months later.

Pratt and Cappa will reunite out in the AFC West after spending the last three years together with the Bengals. The only other player released by Cincinnati this offseason was defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins, who signed with the Houston Texans on a one-year deal following his release. Houston was the last team Rankins played for prior to joining Cincinnati in 2024.

The Bengals faced the Raiders last year, winning 41-24, but will not play them this season sans a playoff matchup. Pratt famously helped Cincinnati beat Las Vegas in the 2022 playoffs thanks to a game-winning interception. It was the Bengals' first postseason victory in 31 years.

Pratt will now join the team that was the wrong side of his greatest play for this year along with Cappa.
