Giants add speedy wide receiver in latest ESPN mock draft

In his latest mock draft, ESPN's Matt Miller has the Giants addressing their most pressing needs: wide receiver and offensive line.

With the 26th pick, Miller pairs the Giants with Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.

"He is a certified deep threat, with one area scout telling me at the Senior Bowl that he'll likely run in the low-4.3-second range in the 40-yard dash," Miller wrote. "The Giants are desperate for a receiver who can stretch the field and be Jones' version of Stefon Diggs, whom coach Brian Daboll used so well while in Buffalo. Hyatt has the vertical speed to fit that role."

Between his speed and ability to stretch the field, he could be the perfect fit for an offense that has lacked a true WR1. In 12 games in 2022, Hyatt had 67 receptions for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns.

In the second round (No. 57 overall), Miller has the Giants adding Wisconsin center Joe Tippmann.

"Tippmann can be coach Brian Daboll's New York version of Mitch Morse as an agile center who can pull, trap and lead block in the run game while captaining the offensive line," wrote Miller. "Tippmann could be drafted higher than this in April based on team need, as he's my No. 2-ranked center in the class."

With current center Jon Feliciano set to enter free agency, this move makes sense, too.
