What does New York Giants coach Brian Daboll know that the public is not privy to? He must have inside intelligence the Cleveland Browns are taking Travis Hunter with the second selection in the first round.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday that Daboll had breakfast in Pennsylvania with Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter who the Giants apparently covet with the third selection in the event Hunter goes to Cleveland a pick before.

"Penn St. edge rusher Abdul Carter had breakfast Sunday in State College, Pa., with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll," Schefter posted on social media. "Carter also is now scheduled to visit the Giants on Thursday in New Jersey, and he figures to be a top-3 pick."

Carter is expected to be one of the first players off the board in the first round later this month. Miami quarterback Cam Ward is widely expected to be the top pick. Carter and Hunter are seen as the likeliest non-quarterbacks to come off the board in the first few picks. They should both be selected before quarterback Shedeur Sanders comes off the board.

It appears as though Hunter impressed the Browns on Friday at his Pro Day workout and he might have moved up their draft board.

Hunter is a two-way player who won the Heisman Trophy last season at Colorado. He is considered the top wide receiver and the top cornerback on the board. He will more than likely be a full-time wide receiver in the NFL and play cornerback on select packages.

Carter, meanwhile, did not workout at his Pro Day due to nagging injuries he sustained in the College Football Playoffs. He is anticipated to be ready for training camp.

Carter is projected to meet with the Giants front office and coaches in a more detailed setting once he gets in their building.
