Cam Skattebo has somehow found a way to boost his already sky-high approval rating among New York Giants fans.

The Giants rookie was asked about outperforming Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley during Thursday night’s Giants-Eagles game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Skattebo sounded like a 10-year veteran with the way he navigated the question.

“Props to him. Great player. No disrespect at all,” Skattebo said of Barkley. “It was Eagles versus Giants tonight. It wasn’t a Skatt versus Saquon. It was Eagles versus Giants, and that’s how it’s going to stay. Two different football teams. Props to him, he’s a great player, we all know that. We know he’s one of the best in the league. We ended up winning tonight, so that’s what matters.”

Skattebo’s simple yet telling answer was a massive hit among Giants fans. The clip has over 50 thousand likes and three million views as of writing.

The first-year running back dominated Barkley in their individual matchup, which is a big reason why the Giants pulled off a dominant 34-17 upset of the Eagles. Skattebo rushed for 98 yards with 3 touchdowns on 19 carries, while Barkley had just 58 rushing yards on 12 carries.

Skattebo’s dominant showing had Giants fans begging him to rip off his shirt after the contest. There was zero doubt that Skattebo was going to oblige.
