Cam Skattebo’s rookie season with the New York Giants did not end as he had hoped. After making waves in the first half of the campaign, the former Arizona State Sun Devils star suffered an unfortunate injury in New York’s Week 8 upset win over the Philadelphia Eagles. After scoring his second receiving touchdown of the season against the defending NFL champions, Skattebo was forced to exit the game due to an ankle injury.

The 23-year-old running back was unable to return and was later diagnosed with a dislocated right ankle. Skattebo underwent season-ending surgery hours after the game and has since been on his road to recovery.

In eight games played in his rookie year, the fourth-round pick was able to register 101 carries for 410 yards and five rushing touchdowns. Skattebo also caught 24 passes for 207 yards and two receiving TDs. Along with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, Skattebo played a pivotal role in reshaping the image of the Giants, who have since lost three in a row since his ankle injury.

Skattebo has been keeping himself busy off the field as he recovers from surgery. On Thursday, the Giants RB’s partnership with Fanatics Authentic, the memorabilia and collectibles division of global sports apparel brand Fanatics Inc., was announced. Skattebo took to social media on Sunday to reveal his latest personal endeavor away from football.

"Tune in for a behind the scenes look at my day to day! Coming soon " he captioned his post.

Skattebo posted a link to his recently launched YouTube channel. There are no videos uploaded on the page yet, save for a few Shorts that were posted over the weekend. However, based on his Instagram post, the Giants star will soon be uploading videos about his personal life.

Skattebo has established himself as a fan favorite due to his outstanding play and devil-may-care attitude. Supporters who have been wanting more content from the New York RB amid his injury will get their wish in the near future.

As for the Giants, they suffered another defeat on Sunday, this time losing to the Green Bay Packers at home, 27-20. New York fell to 2-9 after their latest loss and remains at the bottom of the NFC East.

The Giants return to action on Sunday, Nov. 23, for a Week 12 matchup against the 6-3 Detroit Lions. It will be a road game for the Giants at Ford Field, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
