The New York Giants are in need of a new defensive coordinator to replace Patrick Graham and are sizing up a big name to potentially replace him.
The Giants are set to interview former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale on Saturday. Martindale is seen as a “very strong candidate” for the position, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Martindale has spent the last four seasons leading a Baltimore defense that has consistently been one of the league’s best. The Ravens surprisingly let him go at the end of the 2021 season, and he has been linked to other defensive coordinator positions in the meantime.
With new Giants coach Brian Daboll likely to have a big say in the team’s offense, getting the defensive coordinator hire right will be vital. Martindale would be one of the best candidates the Giants could land at this stage.
