Giants WR Malik Nabers’ Apology Draws Strong Response From Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson watched on as Jaxson Dart, in his first NFL start, led the New York Giants to their first win of the 2025 NFL season, defeating Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers 21-18 in Week 4. Dart finished the day with 111 passing yards and one touchdown while adding 54 yards and another score on the ground. And he did it without his top receiver, Malik Nabers, for the majority of the game.

Nabers tallied two catches for 20 yards in the first half of Sunday's win. However, midway through the second quarter, he attempted to reel in a catch from Dart, landing awkwardly on his leg. The former LSU star was carted off the field, unable to play the rest of the game, and was later diagnosed with a torn ACL, ending his second season with the Giants.

On Monday, after coach Brian Daboll confirmed the star wideout's ACL tear, Nabers took to Instagram to send an apology to his fans, despite the injury being out of his control.

"I’m sorry ," Nabers captioned his post. "Isaiah 41:10"

Wilson, who connected with Nabers for 16 catches, 251 yards and two touchdowns over the first three games of the season, took notice of Nabers’ post and showed his support in the comments.

"You are built for the Storm," Wilson responded. "Your best days are ahead. Here for you for life bro. @cantguard_malik"

Even former LSU and Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. jumped in.

"Every step of the way la brudda!" Beckham wrote. "Bounce right back."

Up next for the Giants, a Week 5 battle against the New Orleans Saints.
