‘Grateful’ Travis Kelce delighted to raise the bar for tight ends after securing record-breaking deal with the Chiefs

While talking about his lucrative two-year deal, the nine-time Pro Bowler expressed his gratitude for his team on the recent episode of the New Heights podcast. He also shared how he landed such a huge deal while highlighting why this new tight-end salary record was important. 

I am so excited and I'm so thankful to this organization for getting it done and making me feel appreciated and compensated the right way. And on top of that, I got to move the needle for the tight end room. The 34-year-old also said that he is yet to see what his future has for him after the end of his new deal. This means, there might be a chance for him to retire with an even better deal after the 2025 season.

Except for the team and position, Travis had been following his brother’s footsteps all along. Jason is the reason why Travis was able to make it to the NFL as he passed on the sport to Travis in high school, followed by him joining the same college as Jason, just two years later.
