The Green Bay Packers’ defense has grabbed the headlines of late for one clear reason: the arrival of Micah Parsons in Wisconsin.
Parsons is now part of the Packers’ stop unit that just got a whole lot better, at least on paper at the moment, as the four-time Pro Bowl linebacker looks to help Green Bay bring home the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Still, the Packers may go only as far as their offense takes them. And it’s not just about how good Jordan Love will be under center or whether Josh Jacobs will continue to be a dependable option on the ground or if rookie Matthew Golden will return the first-round investment Green Bay used to take him in the 2025 NFL draft; Green Bay’s offensive line will be under the spotlight.
With under a week left before the Packers kick off their 2025 NFL regular season in a game at Lambeau Field versus Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions, there is still uncertainty regarding the composition of Green Bay’s starting offensive line. A Packers fan asked Wes Hodkiewicz of Green Bay’s official website if there is “a possibility we may not know until kickoff time on Sept. 7?”
Here’s Hodkiewicz’s response:
If the Packers have decided on their starting five, Matt LaFleur isn’t giving that information away willingly. We’ll likely find out when the offense hits the field next weekend.
One question about the Packers’ offensive line is whether Rasheed Walker or Jordan Morgan will be the permanent left tackle starter for the team. Week 1 against the Lions could provide the answer.
