The Green Bay Packers may be one of the most-watched and followed teams in the NFL anyway, but will be especially this season due to the events that have surrounded the team over the last week. Of course, this is a reference to the trade for three-time All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons, who is currently listed as a starting defensive end on Green Bay’s depth chart.

Indeed, the buzz among Packers fans is increasingly palpable as the the days to the season opener draw near. Already, these fans are imagining what it will be like the first time Parsons is introduced at Lambeau Field when Green Bay takes on the Detroit Lions on Sunday in Week One.

As it happens, star quarterback Jordan Love is thinking about it too, and he has a great idea of what should happen when it does.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love wants Micah Parsons announced last

Anyone who has attended a game live will remember that the players are announced one-by-one, and that they run onto the field when their name is called. Over the course of the last several days, many have wondered if the defense may be called last, with Parsons being the final player called so that the anticipation builds even more.

And that is exactly what Love wants to see happen.

“They gotta do defense. Micah last. Crowd’s gonna go crazy. I already see it,” Love told Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

Furthermore, Love wants the defense to be able to take the field first, and he envisions Parsons doing exactly what Green Bay acquired him to do in the first series of the season.

“Defense go out there first. Get a three and out. Micah get a sack on third down. I already see it.”

That would, indeed, be an exciting start to the season, much less Parsons’ tenure with the Packers. What would make it even sweeter is that it would come against the Lions, whom Green Bay is 1-7 against in the last four seasons.
