'He talks a lot' – One star Giants defender claims this was the most surprising part of Jayden Daniels' game who had his own response

Jayden Daniels is the face of the franchise for the Washington Commanders, and we always see how much fun he's having while tearing defenses apart.

The league knows how good Daniels is by now, and the film shows what he can do with his arms and legs, so there's no surprise when they see him play on the field. The Giants were just another victim on Sunday, but one star of their defense said he was surprised by one thing, and that was how vocal Daniels was to the Giants' defense.

Star defensive end Brian Burns saw up close how much fun Daniels has on the field, but he didn't like it much when it was directed at him during a play.

Back and forth battle

Burns gave it his all and got his own production with two sacks and two pressures on Daniels, but we know who had to get the last laugh. It was 3rd down, and Daniels had to make a play, so he rolled out to the right and had a one-on-one meeting with Burns, and he coasted by him with ease. Daniels stared him down as he passed him and flashed him a smile.

We all know Daniels is a competitor on the field, and he loves to let his play talk. Burns was asked after the game what surprised him the most, and he said Daniels talked more than expected, and he didn't like it too much.

"He talks a lot," Burns said, laughing. "He's a cool dude, but he talks a lot. I don't wanna talk to you. He just be talking like 'Hey buddy'. I don't wanna talk to you, I'll talk to you after the game. He's a smart guy, he's trying to get in my head, trying to act like we're friends."

Daniels heard about the comments

Of course, Daniels heard about Burns' comments, and he didn't have much to say about it, but he did respond with his thoughts about how he plays.

"I don't have a response for that," Daniels said, laughing. "Yeah, I don't have any response. I don't know. Just go out there and I just have fun. I didn't say what he said was said, like, ‘Hey buddy, how are you doing? How are you doing?’ That doesn't sound like me, but [laugh] yeah, we do most definitely like to have fun on the football field.”

Daniels is a true competitor on the field who likes to have fun, and sometimes the defense has to be reminded of how well he's playing, especially if he cracks a smile or two as he makes a big play. It was nothing serious between the two, and the light situation added a fun banter to an NFC East rivalry.
