The 2025 NFL Draft is now in the books.
The Denver Broncos addressed the positions that we expected them to, although maybe not in the order or with the players in which we thought. They have made it clear that they plan to keep their defense strong not just for this season, but beyond. Let's take a look at the Broncos 2025 draft class.
This was a somewhat surprising pick, as most believed the Broncos would take an offensive skill position player. However, Barron still being available at No. 20 was just too good to pass up.
In 57 career games with the Texas Longhorns, Barron recorded 226 total tackles, 24 passes defensed, five interceptions, three forced fumbles, two sacks, and one touchdown. Barron should make an instant impact as a nickel CB, and will provide good depth if either Patrick Surtain II or Riley Moss have to miss time.
The Broncos addressed their biggest remaining need with the selection of Harvey. He should fit will in coach Sean Payton's offensive system as he possesses high upside as a pass catcher and brings an explosive dynamic as a runner. Over his last three years at UCF, Harvey recorded 3,789 rushing yards on 576 carries, 61 receptions for 720 yards, and a whopping 47 total touchdowns.
Some believe that Bryant was a bit of a reach at No. 74, but there's no denying that he's a perfect fit for Payton's offense on paper. Bryant is as physical as they come, able to win contested throws and go up high over defenders to win 50-50 balls. He is also a willing run blocker. In four years at Illinois Bryant recorded 137 receptions for 2,095 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Jones is a powerhouse who specializes in getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. He is very versatile, able to line up and play well at defensive end, defensive tackle, or outside linebacker. Jones racked up 99 total tackles in four years at LSU, also adding 11.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. He'll be a bit of a project player as a rookie, but could earn a starting role in 2026.
Analysis: Like Jones, Robinson is another project defensive lineman with pass rushing prowess. Robinson is a bit inexperienced, but recorded five sacks and a whopping 25 quarterback in 2024 with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He also played some off the ball linebacker, which could be an intriguing thing for the Broncos to explore. Robinson could make a big impact on special teams as a rookie before carving out a role on defense down the road.
Crawshaw gets his kicks off quickly and has a powerful leg. He also has good touch on his kicks, able to pin opposing offenses inside the 10-yard line. Crawshaw owns Florida's school record of 48.9 yards per punt. The Broncos lost Riley Dixon during free agency, forcing them to address the punter position at some point this offseason.
Lohner began his college career playing basketball at BYU and then Baylor. He then tried his hand at football with Utah in 2024 , while continuing to play basketball for the Utes. Lohner has a huge frame at 6-foot-7 and 250 pounds and is very athletic.
He caught just four passes for Utah last season, but all four were for touchdowns. Lohner is obviously very inexperienced and raw, but could be coached up and developed over the next couple of years and get a shot at the 53-man roster down the line.
