Highlights & Takeaways From Rams’ Week 6 Win Over Ravens

After a tough loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football, the Los Angeles Rams were back in action, taking on the Baltimore Ravens on the road in Week 6.

Both teams were missing some key players, although the Ravens were without star quarterback Lamar Jackson, allowing the Rams to come away with a 17-3 victory to improve to 4-2 on the season.

It was a wet and windy day in Baltimore, making for an ugly game. Similar to last week, the Rams got off to a slow start as the Ravens ran the ball with ease on the first drive to take a 3-0 lead.

The Rams’ first possession ended with a missed field goal by Joshua Karty as his chip shot attempt doinked off the right upright.

With the offense and kicking game struggling, the defense needed to create some turnovers, and that they did as Quentin Lake intercepted Cooper Rush.

Zay Flowers then fumbled twice, with Nate Landman punching one of them out. Landman had a career day with a ridiculous 17 total tackles.

The Rams offense struggled for the entire first half with the game tied at three going into the locker room. Puka Nacua hurt his ankle on a catch attempt in the end zone and was limited for the rest of the day.

It was early in the second half that the offense finally came alive as Kyren Williams made an exceptional catch along the side lines and then punched it in for the first touchdown of the day.

After a quick fumble recovery, Matthew Stafford then found a wide open Tyler Higbee for another touchdown to go up 17-3.

From there, the Rams’ defense took over as they had four sacks in the four quarter. Jared Verse and Larrell Murchison had one each while Byron Young sealed the game with two in a row to continue his exceptional season.

While the Rams still have a lot of things to clean up, they moved to 4-2 to keep pace in the NFC West.

The Rams will now stay in Baltimore for practice this week before they head overseas to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 7 before their bye week.
