The Kansas City Chiefs are getting set for a Super Bowl LIX rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 14.
All eyes will be on Kansas City as they play host to the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles for Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Not only are the Chiefs seeking redemption for their 40-22 loss to Philly in the Super Bowl back in February, but they're also looking to get back on track after a 0-1 start to the season, losing 27-21 to the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
This isn't the same Eagles team from Super Bowl LIX, and to get the lowdown on what has changed heading into Week 2, I spoke with A to Z Sports' Kelsey Kramer for a quick question-and-answer session.
"Unfortunately, the Eagles couldn’t keep their Super Bowl LIX roster fully intact. The most significant change and the most concerning one has been to their secondary. They’re still searching for Darius Slay’s replacement at outside cornerback, but nobody seems to fit the mold. For now, they’re giving Adoree Jackson another chance, but he could see the bench if things don’t go well against Kansas City." - Kelsey Kramer, Eagles, A to Z Sports
Howie Roseman has been busy making additions via trade recently. Which of the recent trade acquisitions has the biggest chance to make an impact in this game?
"Howie Roseman has been cooking up trades! However, none have noticeably bolstered the Eagles just yet. I think former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby could make some noise on Sunday behind Saquon Barkley in the backfield and in the return game."

Note: Chiefs STC Dave Toub spoke about Bigsby in the return game due to the injury to Will Shipley, so this definitely seems to be an area where Kansas City expects him to fill in.
"It’s definitely not going to be another 40-22 ending! I know Kansas City is dealing with some injuries to key players, but the Eagles are still figuring things out with their secondary and pass rush. They also struggled to get AJ Brown and Devonta Smith the ball in Week 1. I also believe the Chiefs have more fire behind them after losing Super Bowl 59 and their season opener. The home-field advantage for Kansas City helps, too. 34 Chiefs, 29 Eagles." - Kelsey Kramer, Eagles, A to Z Sports
