If Kyle Pitts Gets Traded, Who Steps Up For The Falcons?
Mandatory Credit: Jeffrey Becker-Imagn Images

Pitts was taken with the 4th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and he broke onto the scene right away, becoming a pro bowler as a rookie. Since his rookie season, he has struggled to maintain consistency and has only found the endzone 10 times in his first four seasons.

The Falcons have some other tight ends on the roster that can potentially step up and have a breakout season. Players like Nikola Kalinic, Charlie Woerner, Teagan Quitoriano and Feleipe Franks, all have the talent to become a big-name tight end in the league.

Woerner has 18 receptions for 166 yards in his career after being a 6th round pick in 2020 by the 49ers. Quitoriano has 9 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns, all from his time with the Houston Texans.

The Falcons do not have any pro bowl tight ends on the roster outside of Pitts but would love to develop and get the young talent involved for Michael Penix Jr. to have more weapons around him. The Falcons have a bunch of young players on the offense that could end up having a breakout season in 2025.

The Falcons have been looking for those weapons to build around their young quarterback, and if Pitts gets traded, they may end up looking somewhere else. Pitts is linked to multiple teams like the Giants, Cowboys, Chargers and Jaguars.

The Pitts trade drama will continue to develop as many teams have been calling the Falcons in the last few days.
