Indianapolis Colts Rule Out Star Player
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts have made a playoff push these last few weeks. With a current record of 7-5, they are trying to hang onto a playoff spot. Unfortunately, this task just got a lot harder thanks to a crucial injury update.

Jonathan Taylor Ruled Out

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Taylor is still dealing with a thumb injury. He has 414 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in seven games this season.

Both teams are right in the mix for a playoff spot. The Bengals are coming off a big Monday Night Football win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Hurting Indianapolis Colts Momentum

The Indianapolis Colts are currently on a four-game winning streak. As a result, they played themselves back into the playoff mix. Those wins have come over the Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Tennessee Titans respectively.

Now, the Colts will have to try to continue this winning streak against a Bengals team that seems to be hitting their stride without Joe Burrow. QB Jake Browning is coming off of his best game since coming in for Burrow. He had 354 passing yards and a touchdown pass against the Jaguars.

As for the Colts, they will have to rely on more consistent play from QB Gardner Minshew. Luckily, for Indianapolis, he has been playing better during this winning streak. In his last four games, he has just two interceptions. He had five interceptions in the prior three games.
