It comes down to this.
The next game on Thursday Night Football, with the Miami Dolphins traveling to Buffalo to face a team that has dominated the past several years, is “Now or Never.”
For this season, and likely next year also.
The Miami Dolphins roster and their coaches had a chance in 2023.
And they blew it.
They were having too much fun and sun in Miami.
What do you expect from 20–30-year-olds given millions to live in South Florida?
Coach Mike McDaniel spoiled his team big time.
He is now in 2025, attempting to be tough.
It is not working.
So, how does this team, meaning the players, respond?
Tua Tagovailoa has played like crap the first two games, a bit less crap this last game, but not what we drafted him for.
Is Tua not able to change the play and improvise?
Legendary and Hall of Fame Coach Don Shula set up equally Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino with control of the entire playbook.
This allowed Marino to call his own plays.
If Tua Tagovailoa were given the playbook and allowed to call his own plays and adjust at the line of scrimmage, the offense would improve.
Is Tua smart enough to handle that pressure?
Yes, I believe so,
Yet, does Tua have the physical skills, namely, running for a first down, throwing the ball in stride to your speedy receivers, and never mind, Tua’s concussion and injury history?
It is a long shot for the Miami Dolphins to go into Orchard Park and beat the Buffalo Bills.
Will I watch the game?
Of course.
I hope for the Dolphins’ front seven to wake up. Or fall flat again?
Will Tua not make mistakes and stop turning the ball over?
Will Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle earn their paychecks?
We will find out tomorrow night.
